Blind Butcher: Reviews & Ratings
If you come here, you absolutely need to order the Slow Braised Short Rib and the Lobster Mac & Cheese, these two dishes are to die for. The short rib is incredibly tender and packed with flavor, sitting on a bed of super smooth mashed potatoes. The sauce from the short rib pairs perfectly with the mash, making each bite even better. As for the lobster mac & cheese, they serve generous chunks of lobster, and the mac and cheese itself is rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Both dishes are must tries and definitely worth sharing or keeping all to yourself.
There may be some debate whether or not this steak was medium rare, rare, or blue. But I ordered medium well so I could share with my wife. It was delicious but she didn't get to enjoy as much as she would have liked. The potatoes were perfect and her ravioli with, i think prosciutto, was delicious too. My personal favorite was the brussel sprouts. My wife typically likes one or two to sample my food or "for taste" but she ate a lot more than her usual one or two. The food here is great! Service. Service was something else. She tried to be friendly and A for effort. But we were sitting at the bar and it took a little long just to order. I mean, i understand you have 6 drink orders to make and each seemed to be 2 drinks each. But about 5min AFTER going through every item on the menu and placing the menu down to indicate to the bartender within arm's each that we were ready to order did she finally get to us. That and bluish rare when we ordered medium-well, sitting at the bar might not be the best option. What i gathered watching the actual servers at the tables, you might get better service at a table. Lastly, too many chairs at the bar. My wife and I were sitting so close we touching from knee to shoulder and i had to lean away from her just to use my other arm. And still i we getting slapped by the hair of the lady next to me and she and i were accidentally bumping elbows and utensils. I'd sat only slightly more room than economy class on a plane. The lady next to me was a good sport about it and i used to be in the military (no personal space) so it wasn't an issue. But i understand that may not be enough room to enjoy one's food for some. If so, don't sit at the bar.
Was looking for a place to eat at and found this gold mine. The place was packed but luckily I made a reservation. The cocktails were made to perfection. The lamb lollipops were so good and tasty. The brussel sprouts were out of this world. The short ribs fell right off the bone. The filet mignon was the best I ever had and I could not believe how delightful it was. I will be coming back at least 3-4 a month.
Had dinner at The Blind Butcher and it did not disappoint. I ordered the chicken, meatballs, and brussels sprouts , every bite was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The chicken was juicy, the meatballs were super tender, and the brussels had that perfect crispy char. Great vibe inside too , cozy, moody, and perfect for a night out. Will definitely be back to try the steak next time!
Friendly place with great food. I had the Ribeye steak was 10/10. Hubby had the filet mignon steak 9/10. Lobster Mac and cheese 7/10 needs little more flavor. The staff were super friendly and kind. Needless to say we will definitely be back.
We went here in our first date night since having a baby and it was perfect. The food is a 10/10, our server was incredible, and the atmosphere was lively/sexy and intimate.
A wonderful dining experience in the Castro. A delicious “meatcentric” restaurant offers up the goods, especially with its seafood. The octopus was cooked perfectly and I definitely appreciated the portion size. One of the best Ive ever had. The truffle lobster mac and cheese is sinfully good and a must try. Nothing more needs to be said about the mac. The steak had a wonderful flavor except it was a bit gristle for my taste. The wagyu meatballs again tasted good but were too tough for me. The wine selection is great and the dessert slapped. Couple all of that with great service and this place is a must visit.
Found this place on maps after a day of vintage shopping. Was drawn in by the menu and food pictures. My wife made a reservation for the place. I ordered the wagyu burger with fries and my wife, rosemary chicken. We also ordered Brussels sprouts and Mac n cheese without the lobster. The Mac n cheese was the bomb…. So much cheesy goodness!!! The wagyu burger was delicious, excellent meat quality. The Brussels sprouts will tasty as well. The rosemary chicken was a bit salty for my wife - she’s a bit sensitive to salt, but the chicken dish was very good. I finished it because the sauce was amazing. She did love the sauce as well and likes it better than another place we went to. We would come back and try the lamb and other dishes!!!
